NET METERING

What is Net Metering?
Net Metering uses the best of both worlds. You will still be hooked up to your regular utility company, but will have solar power to offset your consumption and will be doing your part to cut our Nation’s dependency on foreign oil. If you produce enough power you can actually sell power back to the Power Company.		  
How it can work for you:
  • You set up your own renewable energy source (solar or wind).
  • You use this source of energy in conjunction with energy from your utility company.
  • If you choose-- you can charge up batteries and/or hook up a generator for backup power during outages.
  • On the days that you use less energy than you produce your meter will literally spin BACKWARDS!
  • Your system is now working FOR you REDUCING you power bill!
  • The power company keeps track of this difference and they deduct it from your bill.  Net-metering is a seamless process.
  

This home has a 1 kw net-metering system without batteries 
and a 3kw inverter, so there is room to expand the system.
